Sandra’s 2nd Wind – Silent Auction

I’ve posted on here before about Sandra’s story and the journey we are on to help her catch her 2nd wind. This past Thursday night we had a silent auction in honor of Sandra Cook, and I couldn’t be more overwhelmed or ecstatic that $31,000 was raised! Outback donated all the food for the event, Benton & Company (one of the best Christian bands I know) donated their time to come play, and also there were a couple of characters from Mayberry there for a little comedy 🙂 It was a good night.

This corn hole set was auctioned off, but a good friend of the family painted this and I thought it looked pretty awesome.

Kimberly was the main person that put this whole thing together, she did such an awesome job!

Sandra Cook, an admirable “COPD”er 

Union County resident, Sandra Cook, has been living with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency for years.  As a result, she has been forced to go on disability after being a dedicated employee of First Citizens Bank of over 10 years.  At 49 years old, Sandra’s condition has progressed to the point that she is in need of a life-saving bilateral lung transplant.  Please join us in raising funds for Transplant Related expenses through COTA in honor of Sandra Cook.  Our goal is to raise $85,000.00.  Please join us on our journey and thank you for your contribution.
